It is easy to start your fruit fundraiser for delivery in April 2019, just in time for the Easter/Passover season:

The following prices are good anywhere that can accommodate a large, 80 foot semi-tractor trailer truck on delivery.  These prices are for planning purposes. In order to confirm your fundraiser, please contact us for a price quote for your group.

If you decide to participate, please call me toll free at 800-277-5372 or email me. After I receive this confirmation from you I will add your group to our list of confirmed sales. I will email you a confirmation with other files that you may use to make your sale a success.

I will then send the attached full color flyers for your group by priority mail.  Our full color flyers are shipped to you free of charge if you commit to a sale with us.

Prices vary based on the volume that you sell.  There are delivery fees if you sell less than 300 total boxes.  There are discounts resulting in more profit for your group if you sell 500 boxes or more.  Please see the pricing information below for the details.  Some groups choose to sell at higher prices than we recommend.  This is fine if you choose to.  We can email you a flyer that you can fill in the prices with any price you want and print it yourself.  Let us know if you would like this option.

Our fundraising program offers you the best quality fruit available from all areas of the United States.  We ship all fruit on one truck, direct from the growers, arriving to you as fresh as possible.

Over the past 30 years we have helped hundreds of nonprofit groups earn as much as $40,000.00.  Our program is a proven method to raise large amounts of money.

Here are 5 reasons why fruit fundraisers continue to be the most effective of all high profit fundraisers:

1. Almost everyone eats fruit on a daily basis.  It is part of their existing grocery budget.

2. Fruit is healthy and is a requirement for a healthy diet.

3. Fruit is an enjoyable refreshing treat that appeals to almost everyone.

4. Fruit baskets and variety gift boxes make excellent gifts for companies to give to employees and customers.

5. Those who buy fruit appreciate your service and will look forward to buying from you year after year.  Many groups have sold fruit for over 40 years.  There is no better fundraiser for repeat business.

Why is a fruit sale so profitable at reasonable prices?

Because fruit is perishable, grocery stores have to charge a large percentage of profit to cover the risk of spoilage. This gives you the opportunity to make a very good profit margin and still be competitive.  We have a program that minimizes your risk.  Because you are preselling the fruit, you will deliver it quickly to your customers when it arrives, minimizing the spoilage.  We also reimburse you for any spoilage reported to us within 7 days.  (See below for the details)

We ship top quality fruit from the world’s best citrus growers.  Our citrus fruit is grown in Southern TX and Southern California. These two regions produce the best quality navel oranges, red grapefruit, juice oranges, Clementines and tangelos available. We also ship the best quality eating apples available.

An epidemic in Florida citrus groves known as "greening disease" has resulted in poor quality citrus.  Because of this, we are not shipping Florida citrus at this time. We hope this improves in coming years.

For most locations in the U.S. other schedules can be arranged to meet your needs if you sell more than 300 boxes.  Call us to arrange this.  We need your order faxed or emailed to us approximately three weeks in advance of your requested delivery date if you choose a different schedule.

April 2019 Deadlines and  Delivery Schedule.  Fruit is at peak flavor in April.  There is very little competition from other groups.  Many groups that sell for December delivery do a follow-up sale for April delivery

1. Confirm your fundraiser with us between January 3, 2019 and February 21, 2019 .  We will then send you full color flyers by first class mail.  You can also print your own flyers and tally sheets to start selling quicker.

2. In order to have at least 3 weeks of selling time, it is very important to  kick off your sale no later than Monday February 25, 2019.

3. Finalize your sale no later than Monday March 18, 2019.

4. Fax or email your order to us no later than the evening of Monday March 18, 2019.

5. Send your payment to arrive to us no later than Friday March 22, 2019. You will receive a 3% discount if you pay by cashier’s check or money order.  If you pay by credit card through PayPal, you will receive a 1% discount.

6. Your fruit will arrive between April 3 and April 15, 2019 just in time for the Easter and Passover Holidays.

December 2019 Deadlines and Delivery Schedule:

Even though prices should be the same for December delivery as April delivery, you must reconfirm prices with us after August 5, 2019.  At that time we can confirm your fundraiser with us.  This is necessary in order to assess the crop for the upcoming season.  We will be offering Clementine tangerines for December delivery instead of Minneola tangelos

1. Confirm your fundraiser with us between Monday August 5th and Monday October 28, 2019.  We will then send you full color flyers by first class mail.  You can also print the flyers and tally sheets yourself to get started quicker if you would like.

2. Kick off your fundraiser sale anytime between Monday August 5th and Monday November 4, 2019. You can conduct the sale for as many days as you choose.  It is very important to start selling by November 4th in order to have at least 3 weeks selling time.

3. Fax or email your order to us for items you have sold so far no later than Monday November 18, 2019 at 10:00 pm.  If you do this you can increase your order as much as you want on Monday November 25, 2019, the Monday before Thanksgiving.

4. Send your payment to arrive to us no later than Friday November 29, 2019. You will receive a 3% discount if you pay by cashier’s check or money order.  If you pay by credit card through PayPal, you will receive a 1% discount.

6. If you send payment to arrive to us by November 29, 2019,  your fruit will arrive between Friday December 5, 2019 and Tuesday December 17, 2019.  Our goal is to have all fruit delivered one week before the Christmas holiday.  Because of possible weather delays, etc. it is too risky to plan on delivery later than December 17.

Your delivered cost, suggested price and profit:

Following are the terms, delivered cost, suggested price and profit for your fruit fundraiser.  In order to receive this pricing, we must email, fax or mail you a confirmation specific to your group in advance. This means you need to contact us to confirm your fundraiser after you decide to do this fundraiser.

For April delivery, unless other dates have been arranged with us, you must place your order by fax or email with us no later than Monday March 18, 2019.  For December delivery  you must place your order with us by Monday November 25, 2019.

Prices are good for shipment for arrival to you through April 15, 2019 as long as your order is placed within the timeframe given in your confirmation email from us.  Payment is in U.S. dollars.  Fruit prices quoted are based on crop and shipping conditions remaining favorable.  In the event of a natural disaster such as a freeze, hurricane, trucking crisis or fuel crisis, prices or supplies are not guaranteed.  Weights are approximate.  Citrus is sold by volume; it is not sold by weight.

Minimum Order:  Because we have to ship fruit by refrigerated truck for a long distance, no orders for less than 100 boxes of fruit will be accepted or shipped.  If you fall short of the 100 boxes, you may want to order extra fruit and sell it after it arrives. This is an option you have rather than canceling your sale.

Prices quoted below are based on an order of 300 to 499 boxes of fruit per delivery location. Payment is in US Dollars. A 300 to 499 box order results in no freight service charge, resulting in a profit of $7.00 to $11.00 per box of fruit.  See the pricing details for the profit on each type of fruit.

If the quantity delivered is between 100 and 200 total boxes, a $300.00 delivery fee will be added to your invoice.  Example: A 100 box order will cost $3.00 per box more than quoted below, resulting in a profit of $4.00 to $8.00 per box of fruit sold.

If the quantity delivered is between 200 and 299 total boxes, a $200.00 delivery fee will be added to your invoice.  Example: A 200 box order will cost $1.00 per box more than quoted below resulting in a profit of $6.00 to $10.00 per box of fruit sold.

The following quantity discounts will be deducted from your invoice based on the total number of 20 pound and 10 pound boxes sold.  There are larger discounts for 20 pound boxes than for 10 pound boxes.

Total Number of 20 pound and 10 pound Boxes Sold :

Discount per 10 pound box:

500 to 999 - total boxes discount per 20 pound box: $1.00

Discount per 10 pound box: $.50

1,000 to 1,899  - total boxes discount per 20 pound box: $2.00

Discount per 10 pound box: $1.00

1,899 total boxes or more discount per 20 pound box: $3.00

Discount per 10 pound box: $1.50

Prices quoted also include a full refund for all actual spoilage reported to us by fax, phone or email within 7 days of your delivery date.  If total spoilage exceeds 3% of any given item, it must be reported within 48 hours.  This makes it possible for us to make a claim with the grower of the fruit.  Any major problems such as damaged boxes must be reported to us before accepting the fruit delivery.

If there is a shortage of fruit or damaged fruit, you must note it on the bill of lading before signing for the merchandise and notify us within 48 hours.  Because there is a small chance of having spoilage or miscounting, we recommend that you order 1 extra 20 pound box of each type of fruit or 2% more fruit than you have sold, whichever is greatest. For example if you sell 300 – 20 pound boxes of navel oranges, we recommend that you order 6 extra 20 pound boxes.  You will find that it is easy to sell the extra fruit if you do not need it for spoilage replacement.

Delivered cost, recommended selling prices and profit per box for 300 to 499 boxes.

Prices are in US Dollars.  Please note that we have no presence in your state and at this time do not charge sales tax. If sales tax is due from your state or municipality, it will be your responsibility to pay the sales tax and submit the paperwork that your state requires.

Citrus is sold by volume not weight.  Weight listed below is approximate.  The number of pieces of fruit per box can vary based on how large the fruit grows in a particular season. Weight can vary based on how much rain the fruit has received when growing.

We have  empty gift fruit bowl kits available for packing like gift baskets.  They are not listed on our flyer.  We provide these for those who like to make their own gift packs.  After filling with mixed fruit, they weigh approximately 10 pounds.   We recommend that you sell them for at least $30.00.  Your cost to pack these will range from $12.00 to $24.00 depending how much total fruit you order and on how many gift bowls you sell.  Empty gift fruit bowl kits will be shipped to you before the fruit arrives.  You will need to order 10 pounds of fruit per bowl to fill the bowls.  They are a red color and are very attractive after they are wrapped.

Case of 20 fruit bowl kits: Includes 20 red fruit bowls, 20 bows, 20 shrink wraps, 20 small packs of tissue paper for decoration.  If you are ordering 12 bowls or more, this will be the most economical quantity since they are shipped direct from the distributor.  20 fruit bowl kits cost less than 12 custom shipped fruit bowl kits. Since the cost per box of fruit varies based on the total amount of fruit you order, your cost and profit per fruit bowl will vary.  If you order 20 bowls or more, your cost per bowl will be $12.00 to $18.00 including the fruit. If you order less than 20 bowls, your cost will be $18.00 to $24.00. Cost of 20 empty fruit bowl kits: $140.00 = $7.00 per bowl kit.  These are shipped direct to you from the distributor.

Custom orders of  1 to 11 bowl kits = $12.00 per empty bowl kit.  These are shipped at a higher cost to cover extra shipping and handling. It is better to order full cases of 20 that are shipped to you direct from the distributor.  You can save the extra bowls for later use.  You can also make extra gift fruit bowls and sell them after the fruit arrives.

Payment Terms:

Payment must arrive to us by cashier’s check, money order or credit card by the deadline listed above.  It is best to collect your money in advance from your customers. You will receive a 3% discount for paying on time, in advance by cashier’s check or money order. Payment in U.S. Dollars.

You will receive a 1% discount for paying on time, in advance by credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover Card.  For your security, this payment will be made through PayPal.

After placing your order with us, we will calculate the total amount due and fax or email your invoice.  You can then send the cashier’s check or money order by certified mail so that we have to sign for it.  We will reimburse you $5.00 for the certified mail charges from your local post office.  When sending a cashier's check or money order, it is very important that we have to sign for the payment when it arrives.  Make sure you keep the tracking number in case there is a problem.

If you cannot send payment in time to mail it by certified mail,  you can express mail payment and we will reimburse you $20.00 for the express mail charges from your local post office.  Make sure you keep the tracking number in case there is a problem.

You can also call us to request payment by credit card.  We will then readjust your total discount to 1% and send you a link through PayPal.  You do not need a PayPal account to pay by credit card.

Paying in advance enables the fruit growers to give us their best quality at a competitive price, knowing they will receive prompt payment.    If you need credit rather than paying in advance, you will need to use a credit card.  The good news is you still receive a 1% discount for paying by credit card.

Late Orders:  Each year we get late orders that are past the deadline.  We always do our best to accommodate late orders if there is still time to do so.  We need the orders by these deadlines to schedule harvesting, packing, shipping and transportation for the fruit.  Late orders will be considered based on fruit availability and extra space on the delivery trucks.  If you submit your order after our deadline, a higher price than quoted may apply.

Delivery Location

Some groups in the past have mistakenly chosen a location that is impossible for this type of truck to safely unload and maneuver when leaving.  Examples of problems are areas that prohibit trucks,  narrow or dead end streets, low hanging power lines, low clearance bridges, low hanging trees, etc.

If the location you choose does not allow a large, 80 foot long tractor trailer truck to safely deliver there, you will need to meet the truck at a different location such as a truck stop or a large parking to unload your fruit.  It is much better to plan ahead.  If you are not sure about the location, please consult your local police or someone in your group who has knowledge of this.

It is very important that you provide delivery directions on your order form that is a safe truck route.  You do not need to be concerned about which direction the truck is coming from.  Only a legal truck route that is close to you from a major highway that allows trucks.  The truck driver will then be able to determine how to drive to your location when he arrives in your area.

Delivery Dates:  Your delivery time and day cannot be confirmed until we make arrangements with a trucking company to deliver the fruit. After we have this scheduled, we will notify you of the estimated delivery date.  Fresh fruit has to be shipped by refrigerated truck which has to be arranged after we receive all orders, have the fruit harvested and packed. If you have not heard from the trucking company or us within 4 days of your scheduled delivery, it is crucial that you call us for an update.

“Just in time” arrival is the goal we strive to achieve.  It is not possible for us to guarantee that the truck will come precisely on time since any number of things could happen to cause a delay.  We may also have to ship your order for arrival on a different date than you have requested.  Unless you have talked with us by phone and have made other arrangements with us, you will need to be prepared to receive the fruit during the range of dates that we have scheduled for delivery.  You only need a few people to unload the truck.  The fruit can be distributed to your team members at a later time.  Please see the information we sent you regarding how to unload the truck, how to count the fruit and how to inspect the fruit on arrival.

We will not ask you to unload the fruit between 8:00 PM and 7:00 AM unless you request it or if it is more convenient for you.   The larger your order, the better we can accommodate your requested date and time of delivery.  As a general rule, if your order is less than 500 of the 20 pound equivalents, you will need to be prepared to unload your fruit when the truck arrives.  We will notify you well in advance to schedule your team members for unloading.

You only need 3 to 4 able bodied adults to unload 500 boxes within one hour.  The truck driver is not responsible for unloading.  This is done by members of your group.  It is possible that your fruit will arrive on a weekend day. Refrigerated, over the road delivery trucks deliver 7 days per week and have to stay on schedule.  It is not possible to hold a truck over on a weekend.  If there are religious reasons for not unloading on a particular day, we will work that out for you in advance as long as you let us know that in advance.

It is important for you to have a backup plan in place in the event that the truck comes earlier than requested, breaks down, encounters bad weather, an accident, etc. (See instructions to trucker on order form.) In order to prevent your fruit fundraiser from becoming an inconvenience to your volunteers, it is crucial that you establish a team captain calling system.  We suggest that you have no more than ten sales people per team.  Have team captains who are in charge of calling everyone on their team to update them on the arrival time of the truck.  Have each team captain establish a calling list of all team members well in advance of your delivery date.

Approximately two to four days before your scheduled delivery we should know the delivery schedule.  At this time call us for your delivery time and activate your team captain calling system to inform team members of the scheduled delivery.  Tell them that unless they get a message regarding a potential delay, arrive to pick up their fruit approximately 3 to 4 hours after the scheduled delivery.  This will allow you time to have the unloading crew show up on time, unload the fruit, count it and prepare it for distribution.  Also, if the truck is delayed for some reason, there will be time to activate the calling system and inform your team members to come later.

We look forward to helping you with your fundraiser.  Please feel free to call us at your convenience if you have questions.
